About HSCC
The High School Case Competition (HSCC) is delivered in partnership with the BCIT School of Business + Media as a comprehensive two-phase operation. Instead of abstract hypotheticals, high school students work with active, current data to build crucial soft skills like communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.
Phase one focuses heavily on mentorship. Currently enrolled BCIT students are formally trained in business frameworks and paired intimately with high school teams for after-school guidance sessions over the course of several weeks.
Phase two culminates in an adrenaline-fueled competition day on the BCIT campus. Here, students have four hours to analyze an extensive, surprise case study and present their viable solutions to an intimidating panel of industry judges. Interestingly, this year's case study was centered directly on our own EcoMeter project:allowing these high schoolers to act as active consultants for a rapidly evolving Enactus operation.
Fueling The Competition
Execution at this scale requires capital. HSCC operates efficiently by blending earned revenue and strategic sponsorships.
